Bubbies partners with Optimity for Supply Chain Planning

Bubbies Homemade Ice Cream & Desserts Inc., the world-famous producer of premium mochi ice cream, has selected Optimity to support its growth. Specifically, Bubbies is looking to improve its ability to project inventory and production requirements into the future without relying on spreadsheets and employee opinions.

The Arizona-based company is implementing Optimity’s Demand Forecaster and Supply Chain Optimizer products.

Jeff Stites, COO, explains why Bubbies chose to partner with Optimity, “Optimity provides a complete planning solution that we can grow with and their team brings a ton of industry expertise to the table.

“We experience seasonal demand that is spread across several different channels. We need to be able to scenario plan in order to understand the ramifications of changes in demand in each of those channels. This just wasn’t possible with our existing ERP system and spreadsheets.

“Optimity lets us collaborate and create reliable forecasts while optimizing both production and inventory levels. We now have the forward visibility needed to build and hold the right stock, and this puts us in a much better position to meet customer demand.

Our decision to go with Optimity was heavily influenced by our need to get up and running quickly. We didn’t have six months, we needed to get this running in three months, in time for our busy season. So far, the implementation has been smooth and very fast.”
