Graze partners with Optimity to manage a volatile supply chain

Graze, the UK’s leading healthy snack brand company, has partnered with Optimity to support its rapid growth. The Kingston upon Thames based company offers over 200 healthy snack combinations, available online and through leading supermarkets and retailers across the UK.

Graze needed to improve visibility across the supply chain and will use Optimity to optimize customer service, operations and inventory.

Andy Robinson, COO at Graze, says, “Everything is so fast-moving and volatile at the moment. We need to be able to react quickly – Optimity will allow us to take advantage of opportunities and give us a competitive edge.

Our growth was outstripping some of our legacy in-house systems, so we were looking for a partner who could help us optimize our supply chain. We wanted to move away from a situation where we were doing lots of manual work to get a plan in place, only to have something on the demand or supply side to change.

Optimity can optimize our entire supply chain at the click of a button, taking all our costs, constraints and business priorities into account. The end-to-end planning capability will help us to be more joined-up and responsive –from our suppliers to our end customers.

We also wanted to take advantage of some of the latest technologies. We were drawn to Optimity because of their knowledge around Machine Learning.”

Graze is currently implementing Optimity’s Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Scheduling and Inventory Optimization solutions and is anticipating to go live in Q1 2022.

Andy continues, “We’re four months in, and I have to say that the Optimity team’s supply chain knowledge is impressive. A lot of thought has gone into the Optimity solution. This has meant that we’re just configuring the software to our needs. We don’t have to develop anything. Optimity is the right fit for a business of our size – it’s not overly complicated.”
