Having previously relied on Excel for planning, Norsk Kylling selected Optimity because of its experience in the poultry sector and ability to support the company’s ambitious growth strategy.
The project will be split into three phases. The first phase will deliver a solution for anatomical balance, Optimity will help identify the optimal usage and production balance of the complete chicken-anatomy based on the sales forecast. Phase two will help optimize the planning and delivery of poultry from the supply side throughout the year. The third and final phase targets the optimization of the whole supply chain, from the purchasing of the genetically appropriate fertile hatching eggs through to breeding hens and the production of meat chickens grown for consumption.
The project is already underway and expected to complete within a few months.
